Daryl & Bridget King got their start in Atlanta GA in 2013 but you’ll be glad they relocated to the Tampa Bay area a few years back to spoil you with their hot delicious southern inspired cooking that is the signature takeaway from this soul food truck.

The most popular item on the menu is their Seafood Skillet. It's a combination of seafood rice, garlic shrimp, smoked sausage, Catfish or Grouper nuggets, caramelized sweet onions & peppers topped with their signature sauce.

If you want to be amazed, a favorite for these owners to make for you is the snow crab combo. This dish turns a chef into an artist! You’ll see…. Prepare to be delighted!

The Menu: A few other big hits to feed your soul

Shrimp and Grits- These buttery and cheesy grits have a cajun spicy kick to them. With a mixture of sautéed shrimp and sausage this makes a great snack or save some for breakfast the following day.

Seafood Gumbo- Made from a rich dark roux loaded with shrimp, chicken, smoked sausage, crabs and special herbs and spices. No soul food truck would be complete without this dish!

Conch Fritters- Fried Conch fritter balls served over seafood rice.

When asked what the best part of the business is they answered unanimously “the people they blow us away every day we love our customers!” The best thing about being mobile for this duo are the phone calls they get while driving their soul food truck somewhere. People will often call from the number on the truck and ask where they are going, and then…  they show up! That’s so cool! This truck is fantastic to cater your intimate party or employee event but they love doing big events and festivals too. On a personal note Bridget’s favorite event is the Lakeland Food Truck Rally because their parents, family and the community they grew up in get an opportunity to dine with them. You might even remember a restaurant called Big Daddy’s Bar-B -Que, well that was Daryl’s Dad where he worked as a youth, and now you know how this soul food truck’s name came to be!. So make sure you come out and meet the whole family if you visit them at the Lakeland Rally on second Thursdays.
